When dessert meets coffee, it’s a match made in heaven. This affogato blends warm espresso with creamy vanilla ice cream and a splash of hazelnut liqueur for a smooth, nutty twist. A dash of cinnamon and a sprinkle of crushed biscotti or chocolate shavings take it to the next level. It’s simple, a little indulgent, and absolutely worth slowing down for.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot of espresso

  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream (or coffee ice cream for extra flavor)

  • 1 tbsp hazelnut liqueur (like Frangelico)

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

  • Crushed biscotti or chocolate shavings for garnish


Instructions

  1. Brew a fresh shot of espresso.

  2. Place a scoop of ice cream into a small bowl or glass.

  3. Drizzle the hazelnut liqueur over the ice cream.

  4. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon for a warm, spiced kick.

  5. Pour the hot espresso directly over the ice cream.

  6. Garnish with crushed biscotti or chocolate shavings.
